Schweinfurter Haus in Oberelsbach

Due to the Corona, I only know the Schweinfurt house closed and as a hiking parking lot, so I can't say much about the restaurant. The location is idyllic with a beautiful view and there are very nice circular hiking trails from there. It is only a stone's throw to the basalt prisms. We like to be there.

We had the feeling that we were not welcome as a guest. The staff gave the impression to be overwhelmed and let us feel it. We sat in the self-service area and were told in a very rude manner in the house that we weren't allowed to sit there. There was supposedly no more food, although our next table was still served and more orders were placed. We then left again. We cannot recommend the Schweinfurt house at all.

The landlord was completely overwhelmed ... partly with the compliance with the rules regarding Corona, partly also because of the guest groups ... some guests were puffed up because they came late and he nothing !! had more to offer. ....

Went there from the Rhön-Park-Hotel with 2 children (2 and 7 years) and got nothing to eat at 1:50 p.m. (not even a few french fries). The benches were all occupied by individuals due to the coronavirus, so we didn't have a seat.

Guests not necessarily welcome. Apparently everything was reserved. We weren't allowed into the guest room because everything was reserved there too. So we were sent to the self-service area. There the tables were still wet from the last rain. Nobody felt the need to wipe them off. Perhaps half of the reserved seats have been taken. The rest remained vacant. There is no menu.

As always, cozy and worth a visit, whether by car, bike, motorcycle or as a hiker. The food is good and the choice is large. There are places inside and outside. The view is not to be despised either. Staff is friendly.

Beautifully located, pretty hiking restaurant with an attentive host, who also practices his craft as a chef in mastery and individually responds to guest requests.

The food was very loveless and simply prepared. The salad offered little variety, the hunter's schnitzel floated in a ready-made sauce, the fries unfortunately not baked through. Unfortunately not recommended. We were with 5 people as a family and were looking forward to the meal after a great hike. We were served very friendly.

Best. Host. Ever! Uncomplicated, helpful and generous towards the guests. I have not received such hospitality for a long, long time. If you have the opportunity to visit the Schweinfurt house, you shouldn't miss it!

Very nice host. The rooms are adequate, but clean, for hikers. I was pleasantly surprised by the location and the hospitality of the host. How many times we were asked if everything is okay. Here are people who are interested in the well-being of the guests.

Simple but clean and functional rooms in a fantastic location. Partly with great views from the balcony. An ideal starting point for hikes in the Rhön. A friendly and very entertaining host, who responded to my special request because of an allergy very flexible, could enjoy such a nice breakfast. Dinner was delicious and freshly prepared. Absolute recommendation!

Simple accommodation in a great natural location. The tenant is an original, super helpful, not embarrassed and throw the whole store masterfully alone. Food hearty and delicious. While you get swept away in each 4-star hotel in the city with pappigen Aufbackbrötchen, there are freshly baked rolls from the bakery.
